Senior Mainframe Automation Engineer; OPS​/MVS

NTT DATA is hiring a Mainframe System Automation Specialist in Buffalo, New York, US. This is a hybrid role and candidates must live in or be commutable to Buffalo.

Design and implement monitoring and automation solutions for critical products using Broadcom OPS/MVS. Provide expertise in Mainframe Automation and IBMz, advise users on best solutions, manage requests for monitoring/automation rules, support incident response, and participate in projects to deliver effective automation solutions.

• Administer and support the Mainframe System Automation.
• Deliver automation at the quality and pace warranted by the business.
• Ensure delivery to the customer while adhering to established global standards and best practices.
• Actively participate in achieving organizational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis to drive automation solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions as agreed.

• Understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.

• 10+ years of production support and troubleshooting for IBMz Mainframe systems, resolving incidents within deadlines.
• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe systems, especially System Automation, with experience in OPS/MVS or IBM SA/Net View; OPS/MVS preferred.
• 5+ years of coding/script writing using REXX programming language.

• Knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and/or Git Hub.

• Pay range: $106,575 – $142,100 (based on location, experience, skills).
