Experience:
Deep understanding of CMDB, CSDM and APM. With CMDB specifically candidate will need to have in-depth knowledge of Discovery setup, Service Graph Connectors, data mapping and Orphans. With CSDM - candidate will need to have demonstrated experience with Data Service Mapping. CSDM will be in support of EA - Enterprise Architecture also known internally to M&T as APM - Application Portfolio management.
2.CMDB/CSDM - Should be able to understand the relationships between the two to include technical and business services & life cycles.
3. Data Integration - Will need to be skilled at integrating external data via integration HUB/REST API's to create single sources of truth.
Job DescriptionM&T is looking to enhance their CSDM built in feature within Service Now. We are looking to add resources to our CMDB team. In support of CSDM. This is a data model within Service Now called (Common Service Data Model).
This empowers organizations to create dependencies with their applications and map them from the Asset source of record from the CMDB. This will Extend the CMDB up to applications. You can build out this data model.
Really similar skills to CMDB. But this is based around Application lifecycle and application dependencies. These days this is a hot topic with everyone because when things break they want to know why and what the downstream processes were.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong grasp of CMDB governance and data integrity, ensuring that complex hierarchical mappings align with the latest CSDM framework standards. The ideal engineer must be skilled at integrating external data sources via Integration Hub or REST APIs to maintain a "single source of truth" within the model.
