Overview
University at Buffalo is hiring a Lead IT Analyst for the School of Management IT team. The role involves managing, maintaining, and enhancing IT systems and infrastructure to support faculty, staff, and students, including hardware and software troubleshooting, customer assistance, collaboration on IT projects, supervising student assistants, and contributing to disaster recovery planning.
Responsibilities- Manage and support servers, workstations, laptops, network devices, printers, and instructional technology hardware.
- Provide software support with emphasis on Windows management and familiarity with macOS, iOS, and Linux.
- Use campus systems such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for deployment and maintenance.
- Assist users with technical and non-technical issues, implementing solutions and adapting systems.
- Collaborate with School of Management staff, faculty, and other campus IT groups on projects and strategy development.
- Supervise and train IT student assistants, managing work assignments and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related experience. - Preferred skills include experience in hardware/software troubleshooting, secure computing technologies, SCCM, Microsoft Office 365, Power Shell scripting, networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP), and communication tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Salary range is $65,000 to $70,000 annually for this full-time position.
