Senior Help Desk Technician

Our partner is seeking several experienced desktop support contractors to facilitate site migrations as part of a domain transition project. Technicians will perform hands‑on migration and end‑user support tasks to transition PCs and user accounts to a new secure domain across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.

• Migration Execution: Perform end‑user PC migrations following a detailed checklist and workflow.
• Data Management: Backup and restore user profiles and data as required.
• Technical Tools: Run Power Shell scripts and utilize migration tools to move systems to the new Active Directory domain.
• Systems Administration: Utilize SCCM and Intune for system deployment and management.
• Validation: Verify application functionality post‑migration.
• Deployment Support: Assist with hardware preparation, PXE booting, and system imaging.
• User Handover: Provide user walk‑throughs once migration is complete, including new logins and MFA setup.
• Reporting: Maintain daily progress logs and report technical issues to central migration leads.
• Logistics: Coordinate with local IT staff to manage user device handoffs and returns.

• Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on desktop support or IT field technician experience.
• Windows Migration: Mandatory experience with enterprise‑level Windows migration projects.
• Systems Management: Must have proficiency in SCCM and Intune.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Active Directory.
• Transitions: Prior experience with domain migrations, site cutovers, or M&A‑related IT transitions.
• Scripting: Familiarity with Power Shell commands and standard IT workflows.
• Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow structured instructions accurately.

• Travel: 90% – 100% travel to U.S. sites is required.
