From your PASSION to oursLactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Systems Administrator based in Buffalo, NY.
This position is part of a team that contributes to all system projects from conception through maintenance. The systems administrator is responsible for maintaining datacenter and branch systems solutions as well as EUC management platforms.
Requirements From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:
- Implementation, monitoring, and administration of system related solutions. This includes technology such as server solutions (traditional 3-tier and HCI), NAS/SAN, backup, SaaS integrations, monitoring and maintenance platforms (update/patch deployment).
- Troubleshooting of complex systems issues and collaboration with adjacent teams on issues in Security or Network as needed.
- Function as an escalation point for EUC team for platform issues.
- Reporting of environment operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
- Maintenance and improvement of solution efficiencies and security through continuous monitoring, research, and structured upgrades.
- Contribution to suitability, stability, and performance by assisting in definition of policy and “best practices”, monitoring, and reporting on adherence.
- Creation and maintenance of documentation on systems and processes for both internal department use and user education.
- Completion of related tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission.
- Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and well-being of all employees and that will further contribute to the Company’s overall performance and success.
- Travel and/or extended or off work hours may be required.
Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education: Candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in a computer systems related field or possess equivalent experience in IT.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in VMWare and/or Windows Server administration.
Skills/Abilities:
Applicants are expected to have a knowledge base on IT systems including:
