University at Buffalo is hiring a Systems Administrator I to develop, manage, and support IT services including server and cloud infrastructures. The role involves providing on-premises and cloud system support, participating in infrastructure design and implementation, and collaborating effectively within a team to maintain operational excellence.
Highlights- Provide support for on-premises and cloud IT systems, including Windows servers
- Participate in design and deployment of new on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure
- Communicate professionally with team members, management, and university constituents
- Maintain and enhance technical and professional skills
- Work collaboratively as part of a team within Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS)
- Required:
Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience or a master's degree, and work authorization in the U.S. - Preferred experience with Windows system administration, Azure Cloud, Active Directory, MS Entra , PKI, Microsoft 365, VMWare, HyperV, HPE servers, Listserv, and VEEAM backup
- Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
- Full-time, term appointment under UUP Professional bargaining unit
- Requires availability to work extended hours and holidays in a 24x7 environment
