Real Estate Associate

A dynamic and leading law firm recognized for excellence and innovation in legal services is seeking an attorney to join its Real Estate practice group in the Buffalo, Rochester, or Albany offices.

Experience:
4 to 7 years in commercial real estate transactions, including construction contracts, leasing, title insurance, and real estate mortgage financing.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates interested in joining a growing and vibrant practice group known for expertise in areas such as real estate development, leasing, land use and economic development, public-private partnerships, work with tax-exempt entities, and representation of lenders and borrowers in various commercial lending and finance transactions are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Manage diverse commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, purchase and sale agreements, and large-scale property review due diligence projects.
• Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including loans, leases, and amendments.
• Review and analyze title and survey documents, conduct title examinations, and handle the closing process.
• Conduct detailed title examinations and survey analyses to identify potential property risks and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations related to real estate transactions.
• Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
• Provide legal support and general advisory services for a large-scale real estate portfolio.
• Conduct thorough due diligence for real estate matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
