Business Law Associate in Buffalo, NY - Collaborative culture, mentorship, strong support staff, and room for growth.

Salary: $110,000 - $155,000 per year.

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Law Associate to join their esteemed legal team in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business law, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactions. Bonus if you have experience in Mergers and Acquisitions.

As a Business Law Associate, you will be expected to provide expert legal advice, draft and review agreements, and help our clients navigate through complex business transactions. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of business law matters
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of legal documents, including M&A agreements, joint venture agreements, and other transactional documents.
• Conduct due diligence reviews and risk assessments related to M&A transactions.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on business transactions, taking into account relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure the provision of high-quality legal services.
• Keep abreast of developments in business law and related areas
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and providing tailored legal solutions.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business law, with a strong foundation in corporate transactions.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
• Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape relating to business transactions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• High level of professionalism, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as ChatGPT, Westlaw or Lexis Nexis.
