Litigation Partner

Rupp Pfalzgraf LLC seeks an experienced Litigation Partner with 10+ years of experience to lead and grow our insurance defense and coverage practice in our Syracuse office.

Our team represents clients in a wide range of complex matters, including high-stakes insurance defense and coverage litigation involving significant enterprise-level consequences. Our multidisciplinary team of experienced attorneys is dedicated to delivering high-quality, efficient, and strategic legal solutions. At Rupp Pfalzgraf, you’ll have the opportunity for independent case management and to receive Firm support for strategic practice initiatives.

• Lead and expand the Firm’s insurance defense and insurance coverage practice in the Syracuse office.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, coverage analysis, and trial preparation.
• Represent insurers and insureds in complex insurance defense matters and coverage disputes.
• Appear in court, take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and carriers on risk assessment, coverage interpretation, and litigation strategy.
• Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload, with support from a collaborative team.
• Mentor and supervise associates and contribute to the continued development and operational leadership of the Syracuse office.
• Collaborate with Firm leadership on strategic planning and long-term growth of the practice.
• Stay current on developments in insurance law, coverage trends, and litigation strategy.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• 10+ years of litigation experience, with substantial experience in insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to build and guide a practice team preferred.

$150,000 - $175,000 per year depending on experience, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
