The Data Center Operations Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Operate at the scale of a nation, not a building. Accelerating toward 100 GW by the end of the decade, roughly the entire electricity consumption of Japan. You won't just run a data center; you'll run infrastructure the size of a G7.
Fly the plane while it's being built. Running flawless operations inside a live construction zone, adapting in real time and turning the pace of build‑out into our advantage. You will redefine operational excellence.
Write the playbook, don't inherit it. Most operators step into someone else's system. Here you build one, leaving your fingerprints on how the whole company runs. As we scale 100x, you'll set the standards, shape the operating model, and grow the team by the thousands.
Own end-to-end logistics and asset lifecycle for a hyperscale data center site: receiving, shipping, asset tracking, and vendor coordination.
Maintain asset tracking from receipt through decommissioning, including tagging, labeling, and data entry in asset management systems.
Manage receiving and shipping: verify quantities, inspect for damage, and update tracking systems in real time.
Run cycle audits and physical inventory counts to hold 99%+ accuracy, and resolve shortages before they block build, repair, or deployment.
Fulfill parts requests from technicians and engineers fast, and keep staging areas organized for deployment, break‑fix, and project material.
Process RMAs, warranty claims, and replacements with vendors, coordinate security escorts, and report on inventory performance, turns, and obsolescence.
You've owned logistics and asset management on-site in a data center, warehouse, or high‑volume hardware environment.
You keep inventory accurate to a high bar (99%+) through disciplined cycle counts and real‑time tracking.
You move material fast under operational pressure, so techs and engineers are never waiting on parts.
You manage vendors, RMAs, and inbound and outbound logistics end to end.
You build and report metrics (turns, obsolescence, accuracy) and improve the process from them.
Bonus: Asset management systems and barcode/RFID tracking. Data center hardware (servers, networking, GPUs). High‑growth or hyperscale site operations.
