Site Team Leader – MRO & Supply Chain Management

This role focuses on managing the client’s MRO spend and onsite personnel at an In‑Plant Services location. Sites average $3M and 4 FTE but can range from $2M and 2 FTE to $20M and 20 FTE. The position combines distribution and professional procurement competencies, managing plant executive relationships, supplier management, cost savings, personnel, customer service, and inventory management to retain and grow business.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Provides direct supervision, mentoring, and supply chain guidance to in‑plant associates.
  • Manages assigned plant executive relationships.
  • Manages key supply chain service level metrics such as cost savings and inventory fill rates to retain and grow integrated supply business.
  • Participates in sourcing products not available through MSC and manages second‑tier supplier relationships.
  • Provides weekly communications to the Regional Onsite Manager and Account Manager, documents weekly and monthly client communications and performance reviews.
  • Guides, manages processes, and reports on cost savings, attainment, and service level metrics.
  • Identifies and realizes opportunities for expanded spend management.
  • Reviews purchasing history for compliance with sourcing strategies.
  • Enter and review Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and issues with client’s site champion weekly.
  • Reviews onsite inventory for optimization twice per year.
  • Fosters MSC culture and ensures alignment with MSC vision.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply‑chain field and a minimum of seven years’ relevant experience (integrated supply, distribution, or indirect materials management) OR a minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and clients in a high‑tempo manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing plant‑level executive relationships, third‑party supplier management, indirect materials cost‑savings processes, personnel, and supply‑chain platforms (SAP, JDE, Maximo, EAM, Crib Master, Tofino, etc.).
  • Customer service and inventory management skills.
  • Product and application knowledge of industrial MRO products across categories such as perishable tooling, general industrial, electrical, power transmission (PTB), pipe valves & fittings (PVF), fluid power, electronics, automation, and/or safety.
  • General knowledge of sourcing and market participants for all MRO categories.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • CPSM certification.
Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for off‑shift emergency supply‑chain issues.
  • Access to ITAR and/or CUI may be required.
Compensation

Starting salary ranging from $58,000 to $82,500, depending on location and experience.
