About the Job:

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to‑day performance of the company's end-to‑end supply chain function, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, material handling, and logistics. This role ensures materials and finished goods move efficiently and cost-effectively through the organization while supporting production requirements and customer commitments. The Director will oversee multiple supply chain functions, manage external logistics partnerships, and collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other leadership teams to support business objectives and continued growth.

  • Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy spanning procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics
  • Establish departmental goals, KPIs, budgets, and performance expectations in alignment with broader business objectives
  • Build and develop a scalable supply chain organization to support continued company growth
  • Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and establish effective purchasing processes
  • Ensure procurement practices support cost management, supplier performance, diversification, and lead‑time improvements
  • Oversee strategic and long‑lead‑time purchasing decisions based on operational requirements
  • Establish and maintain inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes
  • Partner with Finance on inventory valuation, cost analysis, and inventory‑related initiatives
  • Leverage ERP and warehouse management systems to improve inventory visibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee warehouse activities including receiving, storage, material staging, and movement of materials throughout the operation
  • Promote safe, efficient, and compliant material handling practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, space utilization, and material flow
  • Manage relationships with third‑party logistics and transportation providers
  • Establish service expectations and monitor carrier performance, freight costs, and delivery metrics
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities to support operational requirements
  • Address logistics challenges and develop contingency solutions when necessary
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure material availability aligns with production and project requirements
  • Work with Finance on supply chain budgeting, cost analysis, and operational planning
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives related to organizational growth, operational capacity, and resource requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, or operations experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing multiple functions
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience within a complex or industrial manufacturing setting preferred
  • Experience managing third‑party logistics providers and transportation operations
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage teams across multiple functional areas
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, controls, and cycle counting practices
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated supplier and carrier management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the ability to use data to drive operational improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other business functions
