DC Power Technician

Location: Buffalo, NY and surrounding areas

Pay rate: $25 -$35

Scope of Work:

• Install, test, and commission DC power systems including battery banks, rectifiers, and distribution panels.
• Perform routine maintenance and load testing of DC batteries (VRLA, NiCad, Lithium-ion, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and repair DC power equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and log power system performance and report issues or trends.
• Follow technical drawings, manuals, and specifications for equipment setup.
• Adhere to safety standards, codes, and regulations in all work activities.
• Maintain documentation for work performed, including test results and service records.
• Travel to customer sites and work independently or as part of a team.
• Provide emergency support and participate in on-call rotations if required.
• Must use own vehicle
• .45 per mile (only gets mileage from home to site, site to site, site to home) (not hotel to site if staying overnight in a hotel)
• $125 a day per diem and tech books own hotel (must provide receipts for hotel to prove staying overnight somewhere)
