At The Wellsville Group, we believe great stores are built by great leaders. As a General Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving performance, developing people, and creating a culture where teams and individuals can succeed.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven retail leader who is ready to operate at a General Manager level while providing leadership support across the market.

Your primary home will be our Amherst showroom, with the opportunity to support other locations within the market as business needs require.

When the GM is present, you’ll be a strong leadership partner—helping drive the business, coach the team, and keep priorities moving forward. When the GM is away, you’ll step up and confidently lead the showroom.

You’ll be visible on the sales floor, connected to your team, and actively involved in the business every day.

You’ll be a hands-on leader who is comfortable taking ownership and making things happen. Your role will include:

• Partnering with General Managers to drive sales, culture, and operational excellence
• Stepping into full showroom leadership when the GM is offsite, on PTO, or business needs require
• Leading from the sales floor and staying connected to both customers and team members
• Coaching, developing, and holding team members accountable to expectations
• Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and development of future leaders
• Reinforcing company initiatives, processes, and standards
• Identifying opportunities and challenges within the business and taking action
• Helping create consistency and strong leadership across the market
• Building a culture where people feel supported, challenged, and motivated to perform

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced leaders, build relationships across multiple locations, and continue expanding your leadership experience within The Wellsville Group.

• Previous retail leadership experience required
• High-volume or multi-unit leadership experience is a plus
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to coach and develop others
• Confidence making decisions and taking ownership
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and modern collaboration tools
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the market as needed
