Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join our Prismatic Manufacturing Group in East Aurora, NY.

This is your opportunity to join a high-impact team where innovation meets precision, and your expertise drives the development of cutting-edge aerospace components.

As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will be at the forefront of both new product development and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. You will work hands-on with milled parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components.
  • Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications.
  • Define operation sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements for precision part fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot shop floor issues, including tooling, gauging, work holding, and inspection challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility.
  • Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.
  • Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.
  • Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelors degree.
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience.
  • Proficiency in CNC Milling Machining, including multi-axis vertical or horizontal machining centers.
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.
Hours:
  • Full Time - 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
