Currently hiring for an Industrial Engineer. This is a contract position with my major automotive OEM client GM in Buffalo, NY.
The role supports engine and component manufacturing operations within that business unit. Expectation is 2-3 weekend shifts per month. They will work Saturday, Sundays, and Holidays. Onsite – 5 days/week. Candidate should be flexible with shifts.
1 st Shift: 7am‑3:30pm
2 nd shift: 3pm‑11:30pm
3 rd shift: 11pm‑7AM
10 hrs/week – if they are willing to work, they can work more overtime.
Be prepared to work 50 hours/week.
SummaryThe main function of an Industrial Engineer is to design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination. A typical Industrial Engineer is tasked with increasing productivity through the management of people, methods of business organization and technology.
Typical TaskLead Throughput Improvement Initiatives, layout changes, Project Management for new equipment installs, implementing new technology, managing uptime charts and throughput reports using production monitoring systems.
Education / Experience- Post‑secondary Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering preferred or other Engineering field.
- 2‑4 years' experience required.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience in Standard Time Data analysis
