Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Forklift Operator Trainee based in Buffalo, New York.

Job Type: Full‑time

Operate a fork truck in a safe and responsible manner. Performs functions directly related to a manufacturing facility. Perform shipping and receiving functions as well as computer transactions daily.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Experienced forklift operation knowledge, perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Documents safety checks on tow motor prior to use.
• Ensures accurate documentation of all inbound paperwork.
• Completes activity movement sheets daily.
• Rotates stock in a FIFO format.
• Selects the proper product for production needs.
• Maintains a clean work environment daily.
• Maintains and operates the RF terminals daily.
• Performs monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.
• Works closely with the production and packaging departments.
• Maintains open communication between fellow workers.
• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of computer software, inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.
• AS400 Prism knowledge a plus.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Fork truck experience preferred.
