Manual Machine Operator

Our client, manufacturing felt products, is seeking a Manual Machine Operator to join their team. As a Manual Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manual Machine Operator

Location: Lackawanna, NY

Pay Range: $21-$24

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

What's the Job?

• Read blueprints and specifications to produce felt wheels and related products
• Set up and maintain manual machine shop equipment for production
• Measure and inspect products to ensure they meet specified tolerances
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production capabilities and troubleshoot issues

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machinist, Tool & Die Maker, or similar role using manual machine shop equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
