Programming Manager / Lead CNC Programmer
Buffalo, NY
We are partnering with a well‑established, growing precision manufacturing company that has made significant investments in advanced machining technology and continues to expand its capabilities.
Due to a recent leadership transition, the organization is seeking a high‑level CNC Programming Manager to step in and lead the programming function while remaining hands‑on with complex work.
This is a critical, high‑visibility role with direct impact on production, efficiency, and overall machining strategy.
What You’ll Do- Lead and mentor a team of CNC programmers
- Own and execute complex CNC programming
, including multi‑axis machining - Partner closely with engineering to interpret drawings and optimize manufacturability
- Drive improvements in programming processes, tooling, and cycle times
- Support a modern, well‑equipped machine shop with advanced capabilities
- Strong background in CNC programming (CAD/CAM)
- Experience with multi‑axis machining, including 5‑axis
- Ability to work from complex drawings and GD&T
- Proven ability to operate at a lead or senior level
