Job Description
- Pack products in an in-line packaging operation (i.e. feeding pouch machine)
- Perform final inspection of labeling to ensure consistency with lot paperwork
- Perform final inspection of packaging including identification of defects
- Document defects as applicable
- Communicate inspection findings to area management/QA
- Document finished packaged products as inspected
- Pack products in an off-line environment (off‑line packing)
- Assemble kits (e.g. holter kits, stress kits, etc.)
- Assist with housekeeping tasks (return raw materials to shelving, general cleanup)
- May occasionally assist in material movement (hand/fork truck, material distribution, etc.)
- Interpret shop paperwork and drawings (read and calculate)
- High school education
- Minimum of 60 days related experience or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to read instructions, specifications, and drawings required to accomplish assignments
- Standing:
Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. - Handling:
Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Also includes finger dexterity. - Bending:
Stooping, crouching, full back and leg flexibility. - Kneeling:
Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees. - Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Lifting:
Picking up and movement of objects. May involve carrying as well. - Climbing:
Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. - Vision:
Ability to see and recognize detail. (Corrected or uncorrected.) - Repetitive Motion:
Recurring movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. - Pushing/Pulling:
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to provoke movement, or to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. - Twisting:
Moving in a contorted motion, usually involving the back, and usually repeatedly. - Sitting:
Remaining seated for a period of time, in one position.
Participate in the reduction of risk and injury in the workplace by completing required job safety training, identifying workplace risks, wearing required personal protective equipment, ensuring all machine guards are in place before operating equipment, not operating equipment without proper safety training; compliance to Safety Standards and Policy:
Immediately inform manager, supervisor, and/or Team Leader of unsafe conditions, practices, incidents, and injuries.
