Buffalo, NY – production at the new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP).
Salary Range: $60,000 – 87,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
Position OverviewManufacturing Engineer – CNC supports development, automation, cost optimization, and continuous improvement for CNC mill‑turn, grinding, and secondary operations.
Essential Functions- Identify, specify, and install new equipment.
- Provide manufacturing engineering support to the operational team.
- Maintain data system integrity with change orders, non‑conformance tracking, and routing updates.
- Support continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
- Perform time studies for assembly processes to support routing and process flow.
- Define, set up, and prepare job orders and manufacturing tooling.
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and vendors to gather information, understand requirements, and improve production techniques.
- Create and update SOPs and technical specifications for equipment.
- Document designs, including drawings, specifications, and material lists.
- Participate in training sessions on process, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain punctuality, work cooperatively in a team, and contribute positively.
- Respectfully take direction from supervisor/manager and other duties as assigned.
- Report to Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, or manufacturing (industry experience accepted).
- 2–3 years in manufacturing, machining, assembly, or operations.
- Experience with CNC equipment – Mill‑turn and/or OD grinding preferred.
- Knowledge of Kaizen, 6S, Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Project, Solid Works.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Encompix beneficial).
- Strong English verbal and written communication;
Korean language skills are a benefit. - Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
This role involves desk‑based tasks and on‑site inspections requiring moderate physical activity.
- Sitting/Stationary: 40‑50% of time.
- Hand & finger use: 30‑40% of time.
- Standing/Walking: 30‑40% of time.
- Lifting/Carrying: occasionally up to 20 lbs.
- Bending/Twisting/Reaching: 20‑30% of time.
- Repetitive motions: 20‑30% of time.
- Environmental factors: moderate noise, occasional contaminants; protective equipment required 30‑50% of time.
