Machine Operator for Our Turret Machine – Second Shift (10‑hour, Evening/Nights) – Responsible for set‑up and operation of turret equipment to punch and prepare material for job orders consistent with customer requirements.

100 Rittling Blvd., Buffalo, NY 14220.
Responsible for set‑up and operation of turret equipment to punch and prepare material for job orders consistent with customer requirements.
Shift Schedule- 40 hours per week or more
- 4:00 pm – 2:30 am Monday through Thursday
- Overtime required (when needed):
- Friday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am (10 hours)
- Saturday 11:30 am to 5:30 pm (6 hours)
- Reviews job orders to determine customer specifications.
- Sets up turret. Turns on machine, water power, hydraulic. Resets machine to zero (bring it home).
- Modifies computer programs to meet job specifications on a regular basis.
- Sets up tooling specifications.
- Performs incoming inspection on sheared material prior to punching. Material that does not meet specifications should be documented via "blue sheet". Obtain clearance from Lead person or Management before continuing with the job if problems identified.
- Operates turret, working at an appropriate tempo to meet production quantities while maintaining quality standards.
- Performs first‑piece inspection on newly punched material to ensure equipment is properly set to produce required quality standards.
- Delivers finished product (punched) to next operation within cell.
- Orders tooling parts through communication with CAD as needed.
- Works as part of the team and continuously seeks to identify and eliminate non‑value added processes and waste.
- Implements and sustains a 5S program.
- Performs autonomous maintenance on equipment.
- Works in a safe manner, utilizing all required personal protective equipment.
- Assists in all other areas of the cell. Maintains flexibility to transfer to other cells to assist when needed.
- All other duties as assigned by Lead person or Manager.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year similar work experience desired.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small hand tools.
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
