Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
Shift: 3rd shift, 11pm-7:00am, Must be able to work overtime as needed
A typical day as Assistant Press Operator- Assisting press operators in all aspects of make readies and running jobs
- Staging raw material rolls and loading materials for production
- Making splices, verifying splice quality, and labeling finished rolls
- Supporting operators during changeovers, web breaks, and roll changes
- Maintaining accurate documentation and logs for roll numbers and production
- Reporting equipment breakdowns to supervisors and maintenance personnel
- Upholding all safety policies, procedures, and regulations in the Finishing Department
- Consulting with department managers and Quality Assurance regarding quality defects
- Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions for process improvements
- Relocating skids while maintaining product separation and pressroom organization
- Covering for operators during vacations or breaks as needed
- Maximizing efficiency of press hall equipment and identifying productivity opportunities
- Have a High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Are able and willing to work overtime as needed
- Have S.M.E.D. training (preferred, but not required)
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean work environment
- Are eager to learn and aspire to eventually operate a press independently
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
- Can follow policies, procedures, instructions, and safety regulations
