Sanitation Manager – 3rd Shift | Food Manufacturing

Lead the Team That Protects Food Safety

At Rosina Food Products, food safety starts with sanitation. We are seeking an experienced Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation operations across our manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

This is a highly visible leadership role that partners closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and People & Culture to drive continuous improvement while developing high-performing sanitation teams.

As the Sanitation Manager, you will provide leadership for all sanitation activities while ensuring production equipment and facilities are cleaned safely, efficiently, and in compliance with USDA, FDA, BRC, and company standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead all daily sanitation operations across the facility.
  • Develop, maintain, and own the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Establish sanitation turnaround goals to maximize production uptime.
  • Lead and develop Sanitation Supervisors and team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Safety to coordinate sanitation activities and startup readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, USDA, FDA, BRC, OSHA, and company food safety standards.
  • Lead sanitation-related investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage sanitation labor planning, staffing strategies, scheduling, and departmental budgets.
  • Monitor sanitation KPIs, environmental monitoring, ATP, microbiological results, labor efficiency, downtime, and audit performance.
  • Lead customer, USDA, FDA, and third-party food safety audits.
  • Drive sanitation effectiveness while identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required;
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of management experience in food manufacturing, sanitation, or production leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    Food Manufacturing, HACCP, GMPs, USDA & FDA regulations, OSHA and workplace safety, Sanitation processes and validation.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency with manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across departments and lead through collaboration.
