Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls area, Tig welder responsibilities. Tig welders will perform precision welding on stainless steel and other metals, interpret fabrication drawings, prepare materials, operate shop equipment, and inspect finished work for quality and safety compliance. The Draftsperson/Project Manager position includes creating and updating technical drawings, coordinating project timelines, communicating with clients and internal teams, and overseeing fabrication progress from concept through completion.

Day-to-day work involves collaborating with production staff, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, documenting project status, and proactively resolving technical or scheduling issues. The individual in this role will contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support efficient, high-quality fabrication projects.

Qualifications

• Strong Tig welding skills with experience working on stainless steel and other metals, including ability to read and interpret welding symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Solid understanding of shop safety practices, quality control standards, and basic mechanical or fabrication processes.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with welders, fabricators, engineers, and customers.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant technical training or apprenticeship in welding, drafting, or metal fabrication; prior experience in a metals or fabrication shop environment is preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift, and operate tools and equipment safely for extended periods, in alignment with workplace safety guidelines.
• Draftsperson will detail items for fabrication requiring Proficiency in drafting or CAD software for creating and revising technical drawings, layouts, and fabrication details.
• Demonstrated project coordination or project management abilities, including planning tasks, tracking progress, and communicating timelines and changes to stakeholders.
