Apply to join New Era's team! The Coordinator, Raw Materials is responsible for executing and supporting artwork replication and data management needs, guided by direction from the management team. The primary focus will be the efficient and accurate implementation of artwork and data while promoting best practices in change management and product development processes. This includes managing schedules, coordinating workflows, and collaborating with different teams to ensure designs align with league requirements and customs expectations.
Success in this role requires agility, responsiveness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Although this role does not have creative responsibilities, experience with Adobe Suite products is a plus.
The Product & Graphic Operations team is responsible for building all graphic assets, product tech packs, and artwork approval files for the bulk of headwear and apparel initiatives, as well as executing all product reporting, calendar builds, and BOM deliverables for all go-to-market needs. This team has an expert understanding of license logo guidelines and translates that knowledge into graphic executions for production in alignment with our Product Lifecycle Management systems.
Responsibilities- Replicate raw material artwork across all leagues/teams within New Era PLM system
- Serve as the primary owner of raw material (RM) data integrity within PLM by maintaining accurate, standardized, and searchable raw material records
- Establish and maintain standardized naming conventions for raw materials and colorways to improve data consistency, reduce duplicate records, and enhance cross-functional usability
- Audit, consolidate, and clean existing raw material libraries, ensuring accurate product data and eliminating redundant or obsolete records
- Create, maintain, and manage raw material colorway records, including development of accurate color descriptions that support Design, Product Operations, Graphic Operations, and Production
- Partner with Design during product development and prototype reviews to ensure raw materials are built correctly, align with manufacturing requirements, and support efficient execution
- Support Graphic Operations by preparing raw material colorways and product data, enabling graphic teams to focus on artwork creation and execution
- Review and validate color accuracy, vendor swatches, and material specifications while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to resolve discrepancies
- Troubleshoot raw material, colorway, and specification issues resulting from team designation changes, artwork requirements, or production constraints
- Partner with Product Operations and Production to ensure raw materials are production-ready by validating vendor codes, supplier information, and required system data prior to production handoff
- Monitor and resolve raw material data issues throughout the product lifecycle, minimizing specification errors and production delays
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements that enhance raw material management, PLM data accuracy, and cross-functional workflow efficiencies
- Act as the cross-functional liaison between Design, Product Operations, Graphic Operations, Sourcing, and Production on all raw material-related processes
- Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for raw material creation, maintenance, and governance within PLM
- Support additional product data management and operational initiatives as assigned
- Execute quick BOM updates to support Production needs
