- They report to the Manufacturing Manager and take direction from the assembly lead.
- The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for assembling, testing, servicing, and installing metallurgical processing equipment domestically and internationally.
- The Industrial Mechanic will assist in assembling the mechanical equipment using prints and schematics in an industrial shop environment.

What You'll Do- Read technical instructions and assembly drawings.
- Assembles and assists in the assembly of all utility infrastructure, including chamber weldments, steel structures, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoots as needed.
- Assists in welding, including MIG, TIG, and stick where qualified.
- Rigs own lifts and assists in rigging lifts.
- Performs various types of plumbing, including threading pipe, soldering copper pipe, and bending hydraulic tubing.
- Performs installation and troubleshooting work at customer job sites both international and domestic.
- Works with the facilities manager and production managers to schedule downtime for preventive maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
- Other jobs as needed to benefit the manufacturing team.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience with hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
- 3+ years of experience working on or assembling hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, assembly in a manufacturing plant, and millwright work.
- Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings, able to navigate computer files to find them and bill time to jobs.
- High mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Experience in building production equipment.
- Plumbing experience.
- Crane/rigging experience.
- Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
- Operates overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes (1-20 ton), and various sizes of forklifts.
- Open to travel to customer site for commissioning/installation.
- Willing to work overtime to help meet deadlines.
- The employee is regularly needed to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear, and talk.
- The employee is frequently needed to use hands.
- The employee occasionally will be needed to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- The employee is occasionally needed to climb or balance and talk or hear.
- The employee must lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities needed by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- The work environment is a manufacturing setting.
- It may be necessary for the Industrial Mechanic to travel up to 30%.
