Powder Coat Line Technician Buffalo, NY | $18.00–$25.00/hour | 1st Shift
Looking for a hands‑on manufacturing role where your skills directly impact the quality of the finished product? A well‑established local manufacturer is looking for an experienced Powder Coat Line Technician to take ownership of the powder coating process and help ensure every finished product meets the highest standards for quality and appearance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with equipment, troubleshooting issues, and being actively involved in the production process—not simply standing on a line performing the same task all day.
- Operate and monitor a powder coating production line, ensuring proper temperature, timing, coating thickness, and overall process performance.
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Inspect finished parts for defects, consistency, coverage, and overall appearance.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on powder booths, spray guns, wash systems, ovens, conveyors, and related equipment.
- Monitor and maintain proper pH and chemical levels in wash and rinse tanks.
- Keep powder, chemicals, and other production materials properly stocked and organized.
- Maintain accurate production records, including batch information, production times, and equipment/process issues.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance finished-product quality.
- Work closely with the production team to keep the line running efficiently and minimize downtime.
- Monday–Thursday | 5: 00 AM–3: 30 PM
- Friday: 5: 00 AM–3: 30 PM
- Occasional Saturday: 5: 00 AM–11: 00 AM
- 10-hour shifts | 40+ hours per week
$18.00–$25.00/hour, depending on experience
