About the Job: The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (3:00 PM to 12:00 AM) is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure production objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and delivery requirements. This role provides direct supervision to production employees, coordinates workflow across departments, enforces safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

The position reports to the Plant Manager

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production personnel to meet production schedules and on-time delivery commitments.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while leading safety meetings, observations, and incident investigations.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics including output, labor efficiency, overtime, downtime, scrap, and rework.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to resolve production issues and drive process improvements.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards and promptly address production and quality concerns.
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees; conduct performance evaluations and assist with corrective or disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, 5S, root cause analysis, and process improvement activities across the production floor.
  • Ensure standard work, work instructions, and operating procedures are followed and maintained.
  • Support audits, inspections, and customer or regulatory requirements as applicable.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to interpret production schedules, technical drawings, and work instructions.
