Chemical Operator

Materion Corporation seeks a Chemical Operator to run and monitor chemical processes producing advanced materials for aerospace, electronics, and energy markets. You will operate reactors and related equipment, handle and measure chemicals safely, and perform in process checks to ensure quality. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented environment, you'll follow precise procedures, maintain accurate production records, and support continuous improvement while learning specialized skills in high-performance manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot reactors, mixers, and related systems per production specifications
• Measure, load, and handle raw materials and chemicals following strict safety and quality procedures
• Record process data, complete production logs, and report deviations or equipment issues promptly
• Perform in-process quality checks and basic lab tests to ensure product meets standards
• Follow OSHA, environmental, and company EHS guidelines, including PPE use and safe handling of hazardous materials
• Support continuous improvement, 5
• S, and lean manufacturing initiatives on the production floor
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment reliability and uptime
• Participate in training to build expertise in advanced materials and new processes
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and staging of finished products for shipment
