Job Title

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, machining, or assembly experience

Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and processes

Understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, machine design, and engineering drawings

Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Any AutoCAD knowledge/drafting knowledge

3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Job Description

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support daily production and manufacturing operations on the plant floor
  • Troubleshoot equipment, process, and quality issues
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to solve problems
  • Monitor production performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Support new equipment installations, launches, and process changes
  • Analyze downtime and implement corrective actions to improve uptime
  • Create and update process documentation and work instructions
  • Train operators and maintenance teams on new equipment and processes
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction efforts

Typical Week

  • 30-40% Production floor support & troubleshooting
  • 20-30% Continuous improvement projects
  • 15-20% New equipment/process implementation
  • 10-15% Documentation, meetings, and data analysis
  • 5-10% Vendor coordination and training

Production lines run efficiently with minimal downtime

Equipment issues are quickly identified and resolved

Safety, quality, and production goals are consistently met

Lean improvements result in measurable productivity gains

New equipment and process launches are completed successfully
