Batching Machine Operator

Express Employment of West Seneca has partnered with a fabrication company in the Lancaster area to fill an immediate need for a full-time Batching Machine Operator. This is your opportunity to get your foot in the door with a great company that values their employees!

Core Responsibilities

• Batch Preparation:
  Precisely measure, weigh, and load raw ingredients into mixing vats or processing equipment according to specific recipes and formulas.
• Machine Operation:
  Set up and monitor industrial mixers, blenders, ovens, or extruders. Adjust controls for temperature, speed, and time cycles to ensure consistency.
• Quality Control:
  Regularly test samples for moisture, acidity, texture, or flavor. Adjust the batch as needed based on lab results or sensory evaluation.
• Sanitation & Safety:
  Clean and sterilize equipment (such as vats and fillers) using Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems or manual scrubbing to meet strict FDA food safety standards.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate logs of batch numbers, ingredient lot numbers, production times, and test results.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education:
  
  A high school diploma or GED
• Technical Knowledge:
  Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to stand for long shifts and lift heavy ingredients, often up to 50–55 lbs.
• Math & Literacy:
  Strong basic math skills for recipe scaling and the ability to read complex batch cards or digital readouts.
