Position: 2nd Shift Welder - (3PM - 11:30 PM)

Position Description

Job Summary:

The Shop Welder is responsible for fabricating, welding, assembling, and repairing overhead cranes, structural steel, and related components in a shop environment. This role interprets engineering drawings and specifications to manufacture high-quality products, performs mechanical and welding repairs, and completes final assembly and functional testing to ensure equipment meets quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate cranes, structural steel, and other components in the shop as necessary.
  • Perform mechanical and welding repairs in the shop as needed.
  • Final assembly and testing of overhead cranes on the shop floor.
  • Ensure that equipment is built to specification and drawings provided.
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years in an industrial environment or similar military experience.
  • Skills and experience in welding and mechanical maintenance.
  • Team approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
