Position: Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer

Our client, a global manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY, is looking to add a CNC Programmer to their team. This is a great opportunity for a programmer who also enjoys working on the shop floor, as well as behind a computer. This is the sole CNC Programmer joining a machining department of 10. The position is open due to a promotion and has opportunity for growth as well.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize G-Code, Mazatrol, and various conversational programming methods to develop & modify CNC programs for CNC lathes, multi-axis machining centers and mills
  • Develop setup documents, complete tooling packages, and programming instructions to support efficient and repeatable production processes
  • Create and implement simple fixtures, manufacturing aids, and work holding solutions to increase efficiency, consistency, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate with machinists when troubleshooting, during program prove-out, and while completing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze troubleshoot, and resolve machining issues as they arise in order to optimize cycle times
  • Utilize established manufacturing work papers while performing detailed/accurate programming to validate production routing and machining methods
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering team members to create new/updated manufacturing processes and proper implementation
  • Utilize precision inspection techniques and quality measurement practices to verify machining accuracy
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date technical & manufacturing documentation
  • Participate in fostering a culture of teamwork, integrity, continuous improvement, and customer-focused manufacturing performance
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
  • Position is full-time, direct hire
  • 100% in-office
  • $65,000 - $95,000 annually depending on experience

  • Trade school or formal machining training preferred

  • * Must be eligible to access export-controlled information in accordance with US export control regulations*
  • 2+ years’ experience CNC programming experience
  • 5+ years of CNC machining & programming experience
  • Proficient programming utilizing G-code and Mazatrol
  • Experience programming CNC lathes, mills, and/or multi-axis machining centers
  • Strong organization skills and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Relocation not available
