Summer 2026 Internship Snapshot

  • The Internship Program is a full-time (40 hours) opportunity that runs May 20 through August 14
  • In addition to your projects and tasks, New Era Interns will experience:

The Opportunity at Hand

The role of the Consumer Insights Intern is an integral member of the Go-To-Market team adding value through assisting with consumer research, analysis, and insights using a variety of custom and syndicated resources.

Projects & Tasks

  • Learn about the importance of consumer research and insights in product-based companies
  • Research identified incremental growth opportunities for the New Era brand using various data resources
  • Assist with analyzing, summarizing, and delivering insights using syndicated data to various internal stakeholders
  • Participate in consumer panel preparation and focus groups
  • Participate in observational consumer research
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other projects as assigned

What you will need to make an impact

  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems as needed
  • Meticulous attention to detail and willingness to validate, double-check, and source data accurately
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email and in person
  • Strong public speaking, group presentation, interpersonal and persuasion skills required
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive person who manages change with urgency and persistence


Education and Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Market analytics, Market research or a related field
  • This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a willingness/passion to deeply analyze data

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
