Assistant Director of - College of Arts and Sciences

University at Buffalo Foundation Activities is hiring an Assistant Director of Advancement for the College of Arts and Sciences. The role involves building and managing a donor portfolio with prospects capable of gifts of $25,000 or more, driving engagement through regional outreach, collaborating on strategic fundraising efforts, and maintaining accurate donor records to support the university's philanthropic goals.

Position within University Advancement focusing on philanthropic growth and alumni engagement, supporting the largest academic division at UB.

• Build and manage a donor portfolio including early-stage prospects and donors capable of $25,000+ gifts.
• Conduct extensive travel and regular visits across Western New York and neighboring regions to strengthen donor relationships.
• Collaborate with advancement leaders, faculty, and volunteers to align fundraising with institutional goals and support school events.
• Maintain digital records for donor management ensuring accuracy and compliance with best practices.
• Participate actively in division and university activities including meetings and professional development.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of fund development experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; technical competence.
• Must demonstrate collaboration skills and the ability to work independently within a diverse team and donor community.
• Travel 50-75% of the time, including local/regional visits and occasional evening or weekend work.

• Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 annually for a full-time position.
