We are looking for that special individual with a can‑do team‑player attitude that enjoys a challenge and makes a difference in patient care. We will train the right motivated person to be a part of an advanced endovascular/image guided interventional team.

We are looking for that special person who is not just content with routine vascular doppler studies day after day. You will work one on one with our physician and PA/NP providers. Participation of RVT's in various aspects of patient care can be customized based on interest. You will see how your input is valued in directing patient care. We are an IAC accredited facility with a fully contained onsite clinic and Cathlab for endovascular procedures.

JOB TITLE:

Ultrasound Technologist

Typical Physical Demands

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected or normal vision and hearing to normal range. Requires exposure to communicable diseases, blood, or body fluids.

Pre‑requisites
  • Certificate of Completion of a Ultrasound Technologist program
  • Prior vascular experience (at least 1 year preferred)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience with MEDENT EMR preferred but not required
  • Experience with performing venous insufficiency exams preferred but not required
Responsibilities

Be an integral part of patient care working directly with the physician/providers and the rest of medical care team. Need to be able to multitask and rise up to any challenge and assume the role that is required to deliver optimal patient care. We will train you to scrub in cases and for other intra‑op roles as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of professional ultrasound theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe environment for patients and staff. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports.

Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain Quality Control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and to carry out orders quickly and effectively. Ability to work effectively as a team member within the organization.

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for evaluating the images for technical quality and will utilize PACS (picture archiving and communication system) with accuracy.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
