Manager Nursing Unit

Job Description

This position provides leadership on a 24‑hour, 7‑day basis to the nursing care team to ensure patients receive the necessary care while in the facility (as inpatient, resident, day surgery, etc.). Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for one or more departments and oversees operations, hiring and termination of staff, discipline and counseling of staff, and approval of payroll and time records. The Manager also manages quality‑improvement outcomes and activities for the unit(s) under their supervision.

• Current NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required.

Five (5) years of clinical experience with at least one (1) year of leadership experience required. Clinical experience in the area preferred.

Salary range: $99,469.50 – $. Salary determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, internal equity, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
