Job DescriptionPractice of Advanced Practice Provider/Nurse Practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
Educationand Credentials
Completion of masters, post-masters’ or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN required. Current active RN and NP license in NYS required. National NP certification required. For internal hire: required upon transfer into new position. For external hire: required at the time of application. Current BLS, ACLS required. DEA or DEA eligible required. Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement required.
ExperienceAt least 2 years of clinical nursing experience required. 1 year experience as NP or two years of clinical experience in specialty area of practice (i.e. MICU, SICU, NSICU, CVICU, ED) as RN or NP preferred.
