Nurse Practitioner *FNP​/ANP

Position Overview

FNP/ANP – Department: BGMC Critical Care APPs at Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, NY. Full‑time position with scheduled shift hours from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. (Shift
3).

The Advanced Practice Provider/NP will diagnose illnesses and perform therapeutic and corrective measures within the specialty of practice, collaborating with licensed physicians per written practice agreements and protocols. The provider adheres to Kaleida policies and practice standards.

• Education & Credentials:
  Master’s, post‑master, or doctoral NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
• Current active RN and NP license in NYS.
• National NP certification required.
• Internal hire: required upon transfer into the new position.
• External hire: required at the time of application.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• DEA or DEA‑eligible status required.
• Collaborative agreement with an appropriate physician required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; 1 year experience as NP preferred.
• Preferred: 2 years of clinical experience in a specialty area of practice (MICU, SICU, NSICU, CVICU, ED) as RN or NP.

Salary Range: $63.15–$79.40 per hour. Wage determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, internal equity, and collective bargaining agreements.
