We are hiring dedicated, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide resident‑focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters.
Casual/per diem nurse positions (mostly afternoon and overnight shifts) in a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Buffalo (Pine Ridge and Doat Street, Cheektowaga area, near Villa Maria College campus).

The salary for this LPN position is $25.00 - $33.25 per hour. The salary rate is based on factors such as the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Responsibilities- Provide direct care of elder Franciscan sisters.
- Manage multiple priorities and assist in overseeing Nurse Aides to ensure the sisters are receiving the highest quality of care and support.
- Assist other nursing staff with a variety of resident care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the residents.
- Distribute medication, maintain narcotic records, and resident records, and perform charting duties.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to support the religious life of sisters and create a warm and caring convent environment.
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state where the convent home is located.
- Current license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
- Long‑term care experience preferred.
- Up to $1,000 for employee referrals
