Garden Gate Health Care Facility is looking to add a Nurse Shadow to its team. This position is designed for nursing students enrolled in the PN2 semester of an LPN program who are interested in gaining hands‑on exposure to long‑term care nursing. In this role, you'll observe licensed nurses, build clinical knowledge, and gain valuable insight into nursing practice while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals.

• Observe and shadow assigned LPNs and RNs during daily nursing activities
• Learn about nursing workflows, communication, documentation, and resident care processes
• Observe resident conditions and report observations to the assigned preceptor
• Review vital signs and other resident information under the guidance of the preceptor
• Assist with gathering supplies and supporting non‑clinical tasks as directed
• Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control practices
• Participate in learning opportunities to enhance nursing knowledge and professional development

• Currently enrolled in the PN2 semester of a NYS‑approved LPN program
• Strong interest in pursuing a nursing career in long‑term care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
