Job Overview

• Certified Nurse Aids (CNA) are needed to provide resident‑focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters.
• Casual/per diem positions picking up various shifts (days, afternoons, nights) at our Buffalo convent home located on Doat Street/Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). Willingness to work day, afternoon, overnight as needed.

• The hourly range for this position is $17.14 – $21.83 for Certified Nurse Aides. Wage will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity.

• Provide compassionate, person‑centered, direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
• Document care for our sisters as required and communicate with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care.
• Assist and collaborate with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
• Work with all departments to support the religious life of sisters and contribute to creating a warm and caring convent environment.
• Engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and meaningful interactions throughout each day.
• Maintain teamwork and partnership among all departments to achieve sister satisfaction and a thriving living and working environment.

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located.
• Long‑term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.
