Nurse Aide Trainee

Job Overview

The Nurse Aide Trainee will be engaged in vocational training to learn the basic skills needed to become a certified nursing assistant. Training will encompass classroom education and clinical skills training and competency. The trainee assists and provides for residents in the activity of daily living in accordance with the individualized plan of care. The trainee will be required to attend the next available Nurse Aide Training class.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Participate in classroom and clinical training to achieve competency for certification as a nursing assistant.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant within 120 days required.

• Preferred: 1 year of experience in long‑term care.
• Basic reading comprehension skills test required for applicants without a high school diploma or GED.

• Weight requirement:
  Medium (up to 50 lbs).

Salary Range: $19.22 – $25.75 per hour, paid bi‑weekly.
