WNY Cancer Specialists Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing oncology and hematology practice in Williamsville, New York.
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the physician and clinical team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with cancer, hematologic disorders, and related medical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations.
- Evaluate and manage patients with oncology, hematology, and related conditions.
- Develop and coordinate individualized treatment and follow-up plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the Nurse Practitioner's authorized scope of practice.
- Monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, infusion therapy, and other cancer treatments.
- Identify and manage treatment-related symptoms, side effects, and complications.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, infusion staff, pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in follow-up care and ensure continuity of care for patients throughout treatment.
- Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, privacy, and patient-safety standards.
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
. - Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification
. - Current national Nurse Practitioner board certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Previous experience in oncology, hematology, internal medicine, or a related specialty preferred
. - Experience with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, infusion services, or cancer-related patient care is highly desirable.
- Current BLS certification.
- Oncology certification, such as AOCNP, is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.

CompensationExpected Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000 annually
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, specialty background, certifications, and overall qualifications.
