Deckorators, a UFP Industries brand, is hiring a Safety Manager for our new flagship manufacturing facility in Buffalo, NY — the newest home of our growing Surestone technology and a major part of our future.

What you’ll doYou’ll lead safety for a brand-new extrusion and polymer manufacturing site, helping shape the standards, habits, and mindset from day one. This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants visibility, influence, and the chance to build something the right way.
You’ll be responsible for:- Leading plant safety programs and driving a strong safety culture
- Conducting safety observations, audits, and incident / near-miss investigations
- Developing training, new hire safety orientation, and forklift certification programs
- Chairing the Safety Committee and partnering closely with operations and HR
- Managing OSHA logs, compliance reporting, hearing conservation, and regulatory readiness
- Supporting first aid / CPR readiness, medical restrictions, and overall site preparedness
- Experience in plant safety, manufacturing safety, or industrial operations
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Someone comfortable being on the floor, coaching employees, and holding standards
- Organized, practical, and able to build strong partnerships across the site
- Experience in manufacturing, wood products, or industrial environments is a plus

- Salary range: $70,000 – $110,000
