Quality Supervisor, Energy – Tesla

We are seeking an energetic, team-oriented people‑person to be responsible for the performance of Quality Technicians and inspectors on various shifts at Gigafactory Buffalo. The Quality Supervisor will manage a team of Technicians and Inspectors to ensure they perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor and product quality. The individual will be responsible for quality assurance related metrics for their shift and for performance‑managing their team to generate the highest value from every employee while maintaining a high level of technical ability.

• Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors
• Provide coaching and training to Technicians and Inspectors
• Escalate quality issues with Management and Engineering as needed
• Drive improvements in quality operations
• Assist Quality Technicians and Inspectors on in‑line decision making
• Provide regular reports & updates to the Quality team and Management
• Assist in the management of material disposition

• 2+ years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees
• Certification in a quality‑related field such as Six‑Sigma, TQM, or equivalent
• Familiarity with measurement system analysis (physical measurement techniques e.g. CMM, optical comparator) and analytical techniques like GD&T, Gage R&R
• Familiarity with physical IQC tools such as XRF, microscopy, XRD, ICP, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to drive issues to root‑cause solutions in previous roles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficient in written and verbal English

• Supervisor Manufacturing – $72,000 – $108,000 annually
• + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

Pay offered may vary depending on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components specific to the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon offer of employment.
