Location, Shift, and Compensation

Buffalo, NY. 2nd shift hours 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (will train on 1st shift). Pay: $23‑$26 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of raw materials, in‑process parts, and finished goods using hand tools, gauges, and measurement equipment.
  • Review products for visual defects, dimensional accuracy, and functional performance.
  • Document inspection findings accurately, including non‑conformances and deviations.
  • Complete and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA).
  • Monitor production processes for adherence to quality standards.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors, engineers, and production teams.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree a plus.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to become certified) is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with non‑conformance tracking and CAPA.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality tools.
