Quality Manager
I've teamed up with a top contractor, leading the heavy industrial contractor sector, delivering complex fabrication, construction and industrial maintenance projects across the Northeast. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to lead their quality department across shop fabrication and field operations. Someone who is looking to take ownership of an established quality program whilst driving continuous improvement across the business.
Responsibilities- Manage and mentor a team of Quality Inspectors and Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs).
- Oversee the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards including AISC, AWS, ASME, ASTM and client-specific requirements.
- Review inspection reports, welding documentation, material certifications, and quality records prior to project release.
- Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across fabrication facilities and project sites.
- Coordinate third-party inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT) and customer witness inspections.
- Lead internal audits, corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain document control procedures, ensuring all quality documentation is accurate, current, and compliant.
- 4+ years of quality management experience
- Deep understanding of AISC, AWS, ASME, ASTM standards
- AWS CWI
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing, or a related field (ideal)
