We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Nuclear Physicist to join our research and development team. The successful candidate will conduct advanced studies on atomic nuclei, energy generation systems, radiation, and nuclear reactions to support scientific research, energy production, medical applications, and national security initiatives. This role requires expertise in experimental design, data analysis, computational modeling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design and conduct experiments involving nuclear reactions, radiation, and atomic structures.
- Analyze experimental data using advanced statistical and computational methods.
- Develop and refine theoretical models to explain nuclear behavior and predict outcomes.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, including detectors and measurement systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technical staff on research and development projects.
- Prepare technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations to communicate research findings.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and radiation protection protocols.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the development of innovative nuclear technologies.
- Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics
- Strong understanding of nuclear physics principles, quantum mechanics, and radiation science.
- Experience with experimental research, data analysis, and scientific computing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar tools.
- Strong background/experience researching/analyzing energy generation systems
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with particle accelerators, radiation detectors, or nuclear instrumentation.
- Knowledge of nuclear energy systems, medical physics, or radiation safety practices.
- Record of scientific publications and conference presentations.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling software used in nuclear research.
